Two years ago today we hit the press with our April Fools stunt that our Pedigree Jersey Cows were fed luxury strawberries and meringue’s to produce Loseley Eton Mess ice cream.
It was a big hit in the press, with The Grocer even getting involved:
“Loseley’s flavour development process is cutting edge – I have tasted the product and it is delicious. It is an exciting innovation for the ice cream category.“ Vince Bamford, FMCG Editor at The Grocer.
Today, Andrew Howard, owner of Beechdean Ice Cream Group, revisited the April Fools event on BBC Radio Jersey – listen to the interview above.
@Janekelly25 The only palm oil might be a tiny amount in the emulsifier / stabiliser but this is a tiny percentage ( 0.2%) and this is being replaced- with regards Palm oil, there are two types - good = RSPO palm and bad = non RSPO
